ground turkey/chicken as solid food for 8m old with intolerances

i have posted about this before but want to make sure i do it right. Ds has slowly been being introduced to solids. he has had pureed avocado with bm, then we did pear but he had green poo so we stopped (couldve been too much pear but safe then sorry), then sweet potatoe pureed but not as thinned out then carrot same as sweet pot then banana just mashed up with a fork. i trial each 7 days.

so for turkey/chicken some do meatballs but wouldnt that be too wild a texture change for him based on the above? should i just ground some roasted turket chicken up?? any opinions?

I think meatballs may be a little to advanced for him. At that age (and even now) my little guy loved it ground up - an immersion blender is a great way to puree it if you have one.

I used to put cooked ground beef through a baby food grinder for my middle daughter around her first birthday. At that time she had a RAST which identified many allergies and we stopped all foods except breastmilk for a month before starting anew. Pears and ground beef were her first foods then (she had zeroes on RAST for all meats). They even taste good mixed together!

I think meatballs would be fine. There's absolutely no need to puree everything.

When DD was that age, I would just rip a finger-sized piece off my chicken breast and she would chew pieces off of it. (this was before we discovered that chicken is on our bad list.) Ground meat would work great too though.

eta: imo, you WANT to have different textures for babes to try. That's the whole purpose of eating at that age- to learn to chew and swallow, and to explore different food textures.
