That Black Dot - Was "Am I marked?"

I'm new and only have 9 posts, well, ten when this is done.
I've noticed that the last three topics I posted in had a little black dot in the middle of the envelope icon. What does that mean?
Am I just paranoid, or have I been marked?

i just noticed a black dot on the envelope of a thread i just replied to . looking thru the general info i can't find the key to those envelopes but I'm sure I've read it before....

I am not certain but it looks like the black dot marks threads that you have already looked at. There is a key at the bottom for 'new posts' 'no new posts' 'tons o' posts' etc... but I think the dot just helps you keep track of what you have looked at.

So no, you are not marked, you are just leaving a trail of breadcrumbs for yourself.

That little black dot on an envelope means that you have posted to that thread of discussion, either as the starter of the discussion or as a replier. It helps you keep track, as you scan the list of thread, of which ones you have participated in.

Well, now that makes pefect sense. And is a good idea, as well!
