Travelling to Eastern Europe/Republic of Moldova with non-vax infant

My husband, son, and I will be traveling to Moldova in Eastern Europe this July. My son will be 10 months. As of yet I have not vaccinated my son and in general the whole idea of vaccinating just doesn't sit right with me. I have done a lot of research and I am growing more confident with my decision to go vax free. However, I would really like to hear more personal accounts from other families that have traveled vax free. I hate making decisions based on fear and since that's the only stories my ped offers, I thought maybe I could hear the other side here.

Well, dh is from Ukraine (just over the border ) and we travel there to visit his family and, heck, dd herself was born in Armenia and....is unvax'ed and healthy. Eastern Europe doesn't worry me at all. It might be different if we spent a lot time in India or Africa, but Moldova unvax'ed wouldn't worry me

I'm from Ukraine and I wouldn't think twice about going over there w/unvaxed ds. General rules apply to Eastern Europe as any other place including US - wash hands, clean water, etc.

Thank you that's exactly what I was hoping to hear. My husband is from Moldova so we will be staying with family...no expensive hotel. We also plan to travel regularly and I have been dreading the thought of vax my lo. Safe travels to you both in the future.
