Pelvic Pain Oh my!

I started feeling Pelvic pain after spending time on the yoga ball last week. I am not sure if it caused it or if it is just timing. I thought I was uncomfortable before this and now Oh my. It hurts to walk, get in and out of the car and moving in bed is down right horrible.:

Anyone else having Pelvic issues?

Me too!!! I had it really bad this past week - but it is better today. The past two nights I have done a few yoga stretches before bed and that seems to help (just some really mellow cat/cow and then pidgeon and a few other random things). My midwife says its really common esp. with the second kiddo...i didn't have this nearly as bad with my first.

Hope it gets better for you!!

I've been having pelvic pain for months regardless if I spend any time on the birthing ball or not.

Hope you feel better.

Not in your DDC, but you might want to look at this: http://www.plus-size-pregnancy.org/pubicpain.htm I don't know why it is on a plus size pregnancy site, as it seems that it can affect small and normal size women also. I have also seen it named as public symphysis separation.

I was having bad pelvic/lower back and hip pain also and my m/w sent me to a chiropractor on Monday and it is so much better!!

I started having pelvic pain at the beginning of the 2nd trimester (before I was even showing). The chiro REALLY helps.

In the meantime something that gives me alot of relief: Lying flat in your back with your feet together and your knees bend (as if you were doing sit ups), squeeze a cushion in between your knees as hard as you can. Hold for 10 secs. Relax for 10 secs. Repeat with your toes pointing out and heels touching (instead of parallel), then with the feet pointing inwards (toes touching and heels apart). Do that a few times.

I've had that with my last 3 pg. Not fun. It doesn't seem as bad with this one, although I've noticed an increase just this week. So far it's been tolerable.

Since I know this is my last pg, I'm going to wait until about 6 months pp and then see a chiro and get straightened out.

I can't lay on my back at all right now to do any exercises for relief. It's just WAY too uncomfortable. I feel like I'm going to puke if I lay on my back.

Oh yeah, I've been having pelvic pain since the end of the 2nd trimester. It's horrid! For awhile it was only at night and right afterward. Now it is anytime I am walking. The birth ball helps stretch out my joints a little, but it does cause a bit more pain immediately afterward.

It is a normal thing I deal with in pregnancy. It isn't fun!

Lots of pelvic pain here. I can't roll over without pain. I got "Relieving Pelvic Pain During & After Pregnancy" out from the library. I've only been doing the first exercise in it (need to look at the others & start adding them in) and it seems to be helping a tiny bit. At least it's not getting worse, unless I do something as heinous as go out to get groceries or something. Made that mistake on Thursday & I didn't think I was going to get into or out of bed without some serious help, rolling over caused searing agony.

I just bought a maternity tummy belt. I think it is helping! I got it at Motherhood...not sure if it's the best one but I feel some relief. I have been soaking in the tub which feels great while I am in there but getting out is ouchy. Also I picked up those stick on heating pads for cramps.

I self-diagnosed myself with SPD last night too. My pelvic pain has been increasing everyday, but I'd been just telling myself it was just the baby sitting low. I don't think so anymore. Yesterday I could barely move at a snails pace it hurt SO BAD. DH keeps making fun of me. Makes me want to smack him, but he's faster than me now.

I've never felt pelvic pain like this in my other pregnancies at all. I would love to get a belly belt thing, but sadly they don't come in my size.
