ISO: Elementary age kids in South Africa to answer a few questions

My son needs to do a research assignment on South Africa. Typical 2nd grade stuff (10 minute presentation including 10 facts and one opinion on the country. Most kids do population, government type, climate, geography, etc.) He would like to do something about the popular games, foods, activities, social stuff for 7 and 8 year olds. Is anyone willing to answer some of those questions, or better yet let their 6-10 year old answer those questions?

I'm looking to find out what the popular toys and snacks are right now for young boys. For example, my son and his friends are in to "take apart erasers". Little erasers that separate into pieces. They love star wars and legos. Given a choice they would eat only salty individually packaged snacks and drink gatorade or pink lemonade. That is the sort of thing I am looking for!
