What is your hand washing routine?

I've just started handwashing our prefolds and covers..well that's all i use other than wool at night. So this is my routine...dry diaper pail..wash every other day..about 10-12 prefolds and 2-3 covers. Fill bathtub till diapers are covered with cold water....let soak for awhile...aggitate by hand till i get tired..about 2-3 min. Wring diapers....fill tub with hot water and detergant...let soak for awhile...aggitate for much longer...rest...aggitate some more...if a diaper has more poo i will scrub that one longer...rinse/wring....fill diaper pail with cold water and dunk 3-4 dipes till soap bubbles are gone...wring and hang to dry.
I'm wondering if i'm doing to many steps or not enough.
Would love to hear how other mama's handwash.

I am curious how others do this as well. I have never needed to, but I am sure the opportunity could arise. I would be concerned about rinsing well enough.

Rinsing is one of my concerns as well...i've started to put a few diapers in a bucket and agitate till i see as few bubbles as i can. Sometimes taht step takes along time. Our water here is very hard and bubbles even by it's self...so i'm unsure when the diapers are actually rinsed enough. I think i'm doing fairly well at it though...since i've been hand washing ds has fewer redness and rashing.
