Anyone ever change baby's name ?

So we liked baby's name, but we never looked up what it meant. Until the other day. I can't do it, I can not let my baby go through her life with a name that means...... well what it does.
So we changed it. I like the new one better than the old one.
Am I odd though ? Has anyone ever done this ?

We are changing Rosalie's middle name. We have to wait until we get the birth certificate, then we can legally change it. It wasn't until we got home from the hospital - after all the paperwork had already been done - that I just couldn't see her with that middle name. So, we decided to change it.

I don't think it's odd at all. If you're no longer comfortable with it, I'd definitely just change it now.

Saw this on new posts. We changed DD2's name when she was 3 months old. we had a beautiful name picked out but it just didn't fit her. We expected her to look similar to DD1 in complexion coloring and what not and she was totally opposite. We debated changing it but felt "stuck" since we had filed for her birth certificate already. 3 months after she was born we get a notification saying we needed to refile since they had lost all our paperwork so we took that as a chance to change it. We picked something much lighter and more "her" but it still isn't right. Not to me at least. She's 18 months now though so we won't be changing it again. I did try and convince DH of it when she was 6 months old but he was worried everyone would think we were nutty.
