Am I just fat or could it be the bump already?

I'm looking in the mirror tonight (in the nudey) and I think my lower abdomen is already starting to protrude a little! : I have heard that women get bigger, faster in 2nd pregnancies...but geez! Kinda soon?!!

Does anyone else see a change already?

Heck, yes. In fact, I started popping out just a few days after implantation and was all WTH? and was finding myself sucking my belly in around people. I've given up on that now

Ok, so I had terrible gas (I know, enough with the TMI gas already!), the night before last (ie before I knew I was pregnant). I told my mom my belly was distended. Nah, it's not distended, it's pregnant!

Also, my belly button is already headed on it's way out

I took forever to show with Carter, so I am looking forward to showing soon with this baby. Everyone always said that I would show immediately with Carter because I'm really small, but I didn't. I had great ab muscles, so I think that is why. My abs are nothing to be ashamed of now, but they are nothing like they used to be, so I'm hoping they let that baby poke right out!

yeah I'm starting to notice a belly where there wasn't any a couple of weeks ago. I already bought some prego pants as I figure I'm going to need them sooner rather the later this pregnancy.

I'm so glad I'm not the only one! I was reading how small the embryo is, about the size of a sesame seed, and thinking, well, we've got a long way to go to be getting a belly already!!!

I think I'm going to have to find Maternity clothes soon too Minsca, the only problem is that i need tall maternity clothes (I'm 6'0'') so that's a bit of a challenge. :

I have the opposite problem. But I guess it is easier to hem then lengthen pants. So I really shouldn't complain about hemming everything.

I'll trade you! Well, I guess since I'll be showing in the summer, I could always buy regular length pants and say they're just clamdiggers!!!

Oh goodness, with my second baby I was out of my normal clothes at like 6 weeks! I'm hoping to go longer this time. I am maid of honor in my SIL's wedding on May 9, and I want to cry just thinking about it. I know I'll be showing by then.

I'm due Nov 3 and I'm already into maternity clothes.

I can't wait to buy maternity clothes. They are so much cuter than when I had my other DC.

If i am showing, it is only because I have been eating like a piggy We are taking DS out for crablegs for lunch too, so I'm sure I will not get a low cal lunch (not that I should be worrying about calories, just sayin')

I don't have the bump yet, just really bloated and puffy - classic muffintop. Just lovely!

You're about where I was when i posted that comment. I couldn't believe I was starting to pooch already! Now it's even more, and my upper abdomen is started to push out...kinda cool, although I mainly just look fat.

I don't have a bump per say, but when I got pregnant with dd I was at my smallest size ever and my tummy was flat and toned (:sigh:...miss that) so i showed at like 6 weeks (to me anyway, no one else noticed). Anyway, since dd is only 9 months my tummy is not the same this time around. I had lost all of my weight from dd (I gained 60lbs!!! thank you breastfeeding , but my tummy was still sort of flabby and a little pooched. So now that I'm p/g again I feel like it's harder to keep it sucked in, even though it's not any bigger...does that make sense?
With dd I gained 12 pounds in the FIRST TRIMESTER (when you're supposed to gain like, 2)...but we are keeping this a secret until we see my family in Orlando in two weeks (yes, Orlando = pool = bathing suit...ugh) so I really am trying to keep from packing on the pounds so early this time.
So far I've gained 2 lbs...and am holding steady. I follow the Bradley Diet though, so all those eggs, milk, full fat everything...we'll see.

i was in maternity clothes by 9 weeks with my last baby (4th pregnancy, but 1st one to get past 14wks...). I was able to still wear a lot of my regular longer/bigger shirts through, oh, 20ish weeks, but i was totally out of my regular jeans.
I've been using a bella band to wear my jeans unzipped since, um, 6 weeks? I CAN do them up, but it's uncomfortable, especially if i need to sit, so i just don't.

this is our third and my belly buttons almost gone already. I have a pooch not really a pregnant type belly it just looks fat. I'm not into maternity clothes yet but that's probably because after DS2 all my normal clothes were a bit big on me. Now they all are starting to fit.

I noticed a tiny little bump as well, and it is exactely 9fingerwidths above my pelvic bone, so I assume, this is my uterus - I am so proud. Yet still hiding it at the office - plus there is really nothing much to see yet with cloths on I hope to get a chance to take some belly pictures this weekend .
