when Rio was about....i think 5? i knew i had to check up on him, and i opened the bathroom door to find the water on, and he was on the stool by the sink, rubbing his dry, dirty palms together next to the running water i mean, talk about going to great lengths not to do a thing. he went to so much effort to lie, he might as well have gone and actually washed them!

Also, no dancing b/c my DH really does look like a dork. Or a leprechaun having a seizure. Its not pretty. But it makes my son laugh so now he's allowed to dance.

yes..... our third date was fourth of july. it happened at least 3 times after that. once he got nervous and clenched. he had a burn mark for 3 days, and he singed his underwear. his brother and him together was hilarious. his brother pulled his own pants down to the ankles, duct taped his crack and bent over a log while DH shot a roman candle at his butt. the duct tape was so he wouldnt get singed there. DH hit dead on every time. then my BFF ripped off the tape. that was at least 4 years ago. we only had DS then, he is way more settled now. hasnt done anything like that in at least a year. he keeps me laughing!

Somehow I get the feeling I definitely missed something important here LMAO. My dh is apparently boring, his wackiest tendency is to get his gear off and toss himself into large bodies of water... how very sedate of him

Cari. I don't know how I missed your post about your grandmother earlier. I bet all the banging to my house is eating my brain more than I thought.

They broke my DirecTv. The unplugged it yesterday on accident (I have the cords running form the dish, through my sliding door. They set it up so I could at least close the door but, the DirecTv guy was too lazy to wire it properly without charging us $500) and were bumping it while putting the siding on today so they completely unplugged it. Well, they plugged it in before they left and now my receiver is not receiving lol.

The interesting/good news today: My landlord okayed us getting chickens! As long as its not against the rules of the city.

Ok my hubby is just the bestest ever I was sitting on the veranda watching the boys play when he came home today and he came straight through.. with his eski lunchbox (which I thought was odd until...) out he pulls two starbucks frappuchino's, in all their frozen slushy goodness : Posh iced coffee ftw (for the win)

Bella - yay for the chickens!

I went out lastnight with 2 girlfriends for dinner and coffee, and it was such a nice treat! It will be almost 50 here today, and I am so excited!! Also, although I wasn't the big lottery winner, I did win $7 dollars yesterday, and since I almost never win, or even play, that was fun too!

OK... seriously... Harry Potter theme park?!?! I don't even like theme parks too much, and I was planning on avoiding them until my kiddos were a lot older. But, Harry Potter??? Shoot, this foils my plans. I can't wait till they're older. Maybe we'll try to go next summer. Off to google for details. ::

Yay chickens! I want them one day. I wonder if I can have them at my new place. My DP gets fresh eggs from one of his students. Yummy.

Cari- I'm sorry about your grandmother and the way you were informed. Geez some folks just don't think things through. *hugs* From an earlier conversation, beets worked great on eggs. The spinach was a lot lighter than I expected, but it was beautiful. The natural dyes remind me of stones.

Lioness- Congrats on the engagement. It sounds like a great party. What a fabulous date (my birthday ). Your DH sounds like a blast! What a fun, silly guy.

Gun- Girls night out is the best! Glad you got to go. It's been too long for me. I need to set one up.

My back is feeling a lot better. I think I'm going to gingerly attempt a little exercise this morning and see how it's doing. I hope everyone with owies and illnesses are on the mend. Dok-hope your ds is feeling better.

My DD is such a special little thing. She'll be 5 in April. She's very easy going, reasonable, kind and cooperative. She's always open to making friendships, and I've never seen her exclude anyone (btw-I know it would be perfectly normal and acceptable if she wasn't like this. I'm just setting up my story). Yesterday at preschool, she had 3 harsh situations of being excluded. It just doesn't seem to occur to her why anyone would do this, and by the 3rd event, she was a hysterical wreck. The upside is that I was there, but she was a weeping puddle of goo for an hour. Both the adults and the children had never seen her like this before because usually she's so happy-go-lucky no matter what. It's so hard to have our littles go through this stuff. I want to put her in the mama bubble. I know this is a part of life, and there's learning in the situation, but @#! she's just my lil' bean. Lots of snuggles and fun today to help her process.

I am so not completely awake this morning. I have 4 guys here today, 2 of which are electricians. Who are not actually electricians, its my landlords new boyfriend. He's the weird guy who wears gold lug nuts in his rat tails with gold tipped cowboy boots to match. *sigh*

I get my haircut tomorrow!! My sister is making me go all the way to her school too. At least its only like $7 for the cut.

I want to become a Storyteller! Watch this storyteller as she tells the story about how Bath, England was founded. (kid friendly...and mentions goddesses/gods).

I met her at the Barefoot conference this summer. It's a brilliant idea and I'm going to look into starting my own storytelling gig!
