Afternoon all. Today I went to my first yoga class, loved it. I am going to make it a weekly thing. It is sunny and beautiful here, I think it is in the high 30's, maybe even 40 outside and it just perked me right up today. The sun, I have missed him. How is everyone's day so far?

I'll admit, one of the first things I noticed about my dh was his beautiful, long, wavy red hair- I was so smitten! I love red hair!

Bella- I am getting a very vivid mental picture. :

My, it is a beautiful day! I so wish I could garden but it is still early and more little plants wouldn't like me taking off their blanket of leaves.

Speaking of red hair...Ds has a belle doll that has auburn hair. I never really noticed the color until he waved it in my face today. I'm thinking of going back to auburn hair. Unless I can't because of too many silver/white hairs. I don't want my hair to look brassy. Or orange.

I'm hoping ds is well enough to go to school tomorrow. I REALLY need to go to work for a couple of hours. Need the money.

I know someone who sells her paintings online (and ships them). I'm going to look into trying oil paints. I'd prefer egg tempera but galleries are really picky and tend to want oil.

It's a paint made out of dinner. Just kidding. Here is some info about egg tempera paint. Roo's cough isn't too bad. I just hope his fever goes and stays away.

re: brown eggs, i was gonna ask about that, because we usually buy brown eggs (not as brown as cari's! do post a pic! i'm so curious now!)... and was thinking it might look nice....
cari, i'm going to be thinking of ideas for your eggs while i'm at the craft store next.... there's bound to be a way!
and, femme-- thanks to your description of natural dyes reminding you of stones, you've totally converted me. i'd been debating, but that sounds tooo splendid!

re: thunderstorms... ahh, one thing i hated about being away from the sonoran desert. our monsoons are AMAZING. totally predictable, almost always start on or around june 21st, clouds roll in around 3 or 4 pm, rains like mad, lightning and thunder to knock a house down for a couple hours, then clears, and the evening is sheer magic. here are some fun pics! (and this one-- that bit in the middle is the rain coming down. you can SEE it, it's so powerful.)

Lioness~ huzzah! lurve the wedding plans!!!!! (and--oh! maid rite. dang. now i'll be craving one for the next two weeks, lol. my grandparents were from iowa.... ahhh, summers... the watermellon and maid rite sandwiches! sigh. thanks for that trip down memory lane, lol!) (oh, and we got married on a thursday. but that was totally intentional. i wanted people to stay and play for the weekend, lol. )


all those talking about handfastings for 10th anniversary... (brendon, book it now!!!) i think i've mentioned my idea? when dh is done with school and we get our own place again, we're gonna do one. i told him: "i wanna get married." i really feel like we need it after this whole quit our jobs and move in with my mom so he can go to school again business, lol.

ugh. poor thing. reminds me of how i was.. and i do worry the same thing for my ds. hope she healed fast from it! (i use tapping on ds when i worry about him being affected, and i think it helps a little.... he also loves holding my stones....)

I'm not impressed with the world today.. Quinn woke up at 455am and bopped into my bed, it was still totally dark out so I cuddled him & put him back in bed. I think he stayed there for about 25minutes, and came into my room asking for 'watchamovie??' So since 530am he has been watching toy story because I just couldn't function. AND we have a LONG extra curricular day today with the hs org.. leave here at 9am and won't get home till after 3 : He SO better nap for me!!!!!

Ugh.

The Department of Labor and Industries showed up to check the contractor's licenses. Yeah, they totally lied to the guy and my landlady ratted on them. I also had the guy check the work Mr. Golden Lug Nut did...she's probably going to get in trouble for not having a permit and he is requesting an electrical inspection. I totally manifested that because I was going to call them since the work is so crappy.

Anyway, my Mom should be off work in about 20 minutes and then she will be on her way here. I didn't know this until I called to say "what time are you coming tomorrow." Whoops.

Oh! I told my neighbor about the landlord okaying chickens and he is so stoked! He is going to start building a coop. Too bad DH and I might not be staying after our lease is up if this type of stuff happens every time something needs to be fixed.

ETA: Did I tell you guys what the neighbor said about my Mom yesterday?

I love my chickens. My kids walk around with them on their shoulders. They are great pets. My dog hasn't had a tick since we got chickens!

My baby sister is pregnant.

My Mom told me when she got here and has known for a week. She wanted to tell me in person. I broke down crying.

I texted my sister congrats and she is all worried I hate her. I want to hate her. I am just too hurt and jealous.

I need DH to call.

Also, with every pregnancy announcement I am getting, I look at my treasure map and realize that I have manifested this all around me

So sorry Bella. It is tough, I remember when my SIL got pregnant without a fuss after I had been trying for over a year. It seemed like everyone around me was having babies. I didn't know it then, but my time was right around the corner, and so is yours.

Quick check in: Ds still has a fever (and cough). I'm pretty sure it's the same virus that my friends son just had but ds's pediatrician will probably want to see him to rule out pneumonia.

She is just the icing on the cake I suppose. DH's ex-wife had a baby last week, his SIL had a baby in January and his oldest son's Mom just had a baby as well.

I am headed to my parents house soon. I have to go help watch my nephew since his Dad has court this morning and the pregnant sis is driving him. My other sister is at school and I am going there this afternoon to get my hair cut.

I hope DH calls today. I could really use hearing his voice.

Hi all! finally got a bit of time to myself to come online! been so busy its unreal. I dont have time to read through, just wanted to let you know i am going great incase you were worried about my absence.

Oh and i finally got to see Nine inch nails! i alsmost broke down and cried at the end, everytime we have planed to go something has comeup and we have been unable to, and i finally went It was poppys first time without me too and she went super great. And it looks like this in NINs last concert for a long long time as they are having a break, so lucky i got to go, it was a major thing on my before i die list

Battymom- Welcome back! Me jealous about Nine Inch Nails. How fun glad you had a good time and that Poppy (love that name) did well with you gone. Was it a little wierd to be without her? The first time I went out, I kept starting and thinking, "Oh sh!T, where's my baby!"

brendon- Allergies are no fun. Poor thing. I'm not sure about children or doses, but nettles work really well for my allergies.

DoK- Hopefully it's not pneumonia. Poor kiddo. Are they going to do a chest x-ray?

I too have been super busy this week- but I've still been thinking of all of you!:
There's been lots of homebuilding busyness, and I babysat my friends 2 yo twins on Tues, friends birthdays, etc.
So, last night we came home around 9pm from a bday celebration, and I logged onto my email, and found out someone had stolen my paypal info and had started on a buying spree. : Immediately dh and I contacted paypal and did everything we could think of to stop the madness. I'm hoping everything gets corrected soon. I was really agitated at first, but then I put it in perspective, and I'm just fine. Looking forward to a good, relaxing weekend, and the sun is shining.

I've tried keeping up when I can, but haven't had much time.

Bella- Your time will come. It'll just come faster when dh is home, lol.

Ostara is in 2 weeks!! I'm excited, my girls are excited, and I need to start preparing. My girls are used to Easter, but this year we've decided to not celebrate Easter at all, only Ostara. In the past we did both, but Easter just doesn't fit for us, kwim? My girls are still asking for chocolate bunnies though,
