I tried this for the first time today (soaking the grains overnight). The taste was not bad, but I had a horrible time getting the consistency right. Maybe I'm just inexperienced with pancakes in general (I haven't made them that often). I kept the heat on the cast iron griddle at just under medium and made sure water sizzled on it before using it.
I had better luck after I thinned the batter and let it sit longer on one side before turning it, but it was still kind of gooey in the middle and the whole thing disintegrated more than a regular pancake would.
Does anyone have any tips for me? I really want this to work!
