Does anyone have any My First Leap Pad cartridges/books? There are a bunch on CL in PDX, but I'm not in PDX. I found the game system for $4 at Goodwill, but no games. Anyone?

Yeah, I like facebook too but it's definitely got a more superficial quality to it. We can keep posting here, though! Maybe people will come back, maybe not. Maybe new people will come. Here is still here, though.

Danielle, I have some leappad books up in my attic that someone gave us... is that what you are talking about? I think the pad reads the books and you poke words if you don't know them and it reads them to you. Something like that.

Here's my question for everyone... any big plans for the summer?



and my answer: lots of gardening/preserving, taking the family to my sister's wedding in Chicago in July, and I'd like to visit a farm or two. Aside from helping Cliff with his new business. OK, that was sort of a superficial question, but it's weighing heavily on my mind for some reason.

Littlest leappad is different from leappad. Of course the cartridges are not interchangeable. And of course I don't think they make either anymore.. they are on to something else making parents buy new systems if they want them. :

We had one littlest leappad.. but I haven't seen it in a very long time. Thanks have a way of vanishing around here. I have a bunch of the leappads though...

Oh yea.. and we are hoping to go to DC this summer when Levi's work sends him. Gotta come up with airfare for four of us though and then there is the fact that I am scared of flying and DH refuses to travel any other way. Besides I am sure the government is not going to let him have an extra several days off to take a train. If we do make it to DC one of my best friends from high school, whom I haven't seen since her brother died about 6 years ago, lives about an hour away. She said they could come up and stay the night in Dc and then we could spend the day doing stuff. This would be good to do while dh is in training. (the reason he is being sent there.)

I have a bunch that I have been meaning to list on CL when I find them all. I keep putting them in spots that I will remember and then I forget.

We are road tripping to my BIL's wedding in New Mexico in July. Well, we might drive, might fly. No decision has yet been made. Aside from that, trying to keep up with the weeds, and taking Chase to the pool, probably

Tina, for the enrollment, they are getting full, but the secretary said that a lot of people will drop before school starts. So she doesn't think it would be a problem if you get your app in.

I haven't made any big plans for the summer, but I have scheduled vacation time. I'm taking a week off in June and a week off in August. In June, Joey's family will be coming and we'll celebrate Lu's birthday and the Summer Solstice. In August, I'd like to go camping or out to the coast. Maybe both! And I really want to take advantage of being back in Portland by enjoying our parks and farmer's markets to the fullest. :

I saw that! I added Brianna to my facebook after I posted this and saw the post from Angie on Brianna's profile.

Thanks for checking. Someone emailed me this morning regarding the informational meeting, she said the info was dated. I assume that means you don't need to attended the meeting.. they haven't confirmed yet. I will just turn it in and talk to them in the morning when I take Bre to ballet.

There was a couple of other parents asking about the info meeting. And when I talked to Angela, she said that the open house would count for the info meeting.

The info meeting that I went to was the video that they were showing in the first room. So if you tell them that you caught the video, they shouldn't have any probs with you not attending an info meeting.

In itunes search for "For the Kids Three". It's the third cd in the series of cd's that VH1 Save the Music is putting out. I think you would like that also. I purchased all three of the For the Kids.
I have tons more suggestions too, let me know if anyone is interested. I have spent my insomnia nights searching for different music for kids and have found some wonderful and weird music. I like listening to it

Yeah, that's the Leap Pad for the bigger kids. But thanks. Our big plans for summer are to all go to Oregon Country Fair and camp again. The coast would be nice too. Also, tending our summer garden and enjoying the farmer's markets too.
