Need embroidery ideas

Thread Starter
I've recently rediscovered my love for embroidering. I keep finding transfers that I love, especially stuff that I think DD will love. My problem is not knowing what to embroider. I mean, I know the traditional pillowcases, tea towels, etc. But what else do you embroider? I want to sew up a few dresses for DD this summer and put some embroidery on them, but what else is there? TIA

I like to do little bits of embroidery on the bib or pocket of aprons. They are really sweet for little girls and great presents for grandmas... especially matching Grandma/granddaughter aprons!

Collars and cuffs of shirts, jean pockets, and I like the ribbon idea and make it into trim. You could also do the arms of shirts, from the shoulder down to almost elbow or the wrist up to elbow or above.
