Joining back in

I'm coming back from my self imposed hiatus. It's been nice to have a break, but I'm still feeling that itch. I was accepted to graduate school for certain and now any due date will be after I've completed the first semester. I'm done with all the ART for now though, so we'll be going au natural and if it happens, it happens. At least I'll have something to occupy my mind from my failed attempts at reproducing for the time being. It's been nearly two years since my unexpected pregnacy that ended in mc and about 21 months since we started trying in earnest (although the previous 5 we've been TTA). Plus, DH seems to have beaten the cancer he was diagnosised with last year.

Congratulations to all of those who have gotten BFP's! I've been keeping an eye on the thread while not participating. Gumby, I'll be especially to see how combining pregnancy and school goes for you. Condolences for everyone who has had round after round of negatives.

Welcome back! I've been wondering when you were coming back here. Congrats on getting into grad school. I'm still not really sure what I am going to do, but I will keep you updated. I spoke with my advisor who only has a dog about the pg. Her response "it will have to work out." Ummm....ok?????No idea how I am only going to take off two weeks after my probable repeat c-section and then a full-time internship two months later. I really need a working crystal ball right about now! What are you going to be studying again? Best of luck with everything

Eastbay- Welcome back to the group! Best wishes on your natural cycles. Congrats on grad school! I am just starting down that road (filling out applications, etc). Anyhoo, welcome back!

I miss all our newly pregnant mamas! Hope you are all doing well.

I'm still checking in on everyone, just not posting much.

Hi everyone. I'd like to join this thread... I'm 27, have been TTC for over 15 months now and the regular TTC threads are just getting to be a bit much for me. I'm doing acupuncture and Chinese herbs with metformin this cycle (PCOS) and if that doesn't work I'll be moving on to IUI next cycle.

woodland- Welcome. Sorry you have to be here.

Hi Libby!! I love seeing your ticker!

Woodlandfairytale--Welcome here. I remember you way back in the CBFM thread. I think it was last summer. I know what you mean about the ttc boards. It was torture to see most of them getting BFP within 6 months. I try to avoid that section. It hurts to much to be there. I feel real comfortable over here.

Eastbayk--nice to see you again. I remember some of your posts along time ago when I first started posting here.

nummies--thank goodness your temp went down. It looks like you will be ovulating any day now.

Hello to everyone else here.

Hi wtg - I remember you, too. I've been following your story and I'm really crossing my fingers for your IVF to be a success!

Hi Everyone. I'd like to join the thread too. I'm 24.... TTC#1 since 12/08. I have long annovulatory cycles (90-120 days) so we went to my Ob-GYN for assistance right from the get-go of TTC since charting was just frustraing me to no end...I did my first cycle of Provera and Clomid (50mg) without any sign of Ovulation (I'm CD30 today.) I'm thinking of trying accupuncture and massage soon too.

Anyone else doing an IUI this cycle? I'm thinking that's where we're headed next - I have so much trouble getting DH to DTD during ovulation (he has an extremely low sex drive) and it's becoming a big problem. But, I don't know if we can afford it. I only have $5,000 in lifetime infertility coverage and I've heard that monitored IUIs can cost up to that amount! I don't think I could do it unmonitored, either, because I *never* get positive OPKs, I can't rely on them.

I'm still following along too & not posting. Congrats to the BFPs and condolences on the m/c's...

Nice to see you songbird! I can't believe you are 24 weeks!

Got a positive OPK today so our IUIs are set for tomorrow and Monday.

I think it's about time I join back in...we have been trying to conceive since the m/c in November, but thinking too much about it and talking about it was too much for me. I'm on my 4th Clomid cycle since the m/c, and talked to my doctor about future possibilities if the remaining Clomid cycles don't work. She suggested that I make an appointment with the infertility specialist here in town because it takes a couple of months to get in with him. But DH and I have so much more to discuss before we move on to IUI/injectibles.

I'm looking forward to getting back into it.

Woodland
my IUI's cost 1500.00 plus 400.00 on the day of the procedure.
You should contact your insurance company because at my insurance company (state) IUI's are considered medical procedures and do not effect my IF benefit.

Hello, I was wondering if I could be added? We aren't "trying" to conceive, we jsut are "letting things happen." We had to plan so much for our first (twins) we both really want to try things naturally and at the very least sans clomid if possible. I was given 1/2 chances of twins again on it, 1/4 for triplets or more, and 1/8 for higher order multiples. So, needless to say, we are hoping to avoid clomid.

I did try some herbal things, after carefully googling them. Vitex worked for me once, but I m/c so I fear trying it again. Wild Yam did nothing. Now I am trying soy. I actually did ovulate! Normally I go MONTHS without oing, and sometimes never do and need to take provera. But I o'd on cd 38 or cd 40 this time, which is great.

---

For everyone trying, I wish you heaps of good luck and sticky vibes and for those who've suffered losses, I have you in my thoughts. I have had two m/c myself, it's a terrible thing. People often expect you to move on quickly so I at least felt alone in my grief at times. Even DH refuses to talk about it, he says it hurts too much.

Anyway, so may the sperm be plentiful and robust, your eggs be easily fertilized, and may the embryo dig in real tight!

Welcome here Oregonduck, Blackapple and Jelinefer!!

Nummies--gl this cycle esp after what you have been through this past month.

Laci-how are you doing? I am still on bcp. I can't believe I am cycling now for IVF. I start Lupron on Tuesday. Most of the action will start in April. I am hoping I am doing the right thing in staying with the group. I did go to AP it was alright I will be going again on Tues before I give myself my first ever shot.
