DD is 15 months old and I'm ready to transition away from pumping. (15 months of pumping is a looong time!) At this point the only pumping I do is to provide her with a bottle of breastmilk for bedtime. (Other than that, I'm available for nursing on demand round the clock -- but 1 to 3 times a week, I have to go to work after dinner, before DD goes to sleep. I'm usually back before she wakes up to nurse at 10 or 11 p.m.).
I'm trying to decide whether to have our care provider transition to offering her water or some other milk (cow's milk, almond milk, etc) in her bedtime bottle.
Does anyone have experience with this? Is water soothing and relaxing enough? I'm told she seems to find her bottle of breastmilk soothing. My first instinct was to offer some other milk, but some in another forum suggested water.
