Hi Mamas, subbing!
I am 40, ttc #2 and would like to join you all. I am also nursing #1, at 3, and he is SPD very high, high needs. Since I got AF back I've been trying, full on charting (see sig) and feeling the 40ness.

I'm on my 5th real cycle trying since AF got regular, no previous fertility problems, and I have several friends who've had successful pregnancies at 41, 42, 43...so I have good role models ahead of me.

Anyway, I am currently 11DPO, and trying not to think about it, temp dropped below coverline yesterday (back up today) and I am feeling crampy.

Why are pregnancy symptoms so similar to period symptoms?!

I was fertile from the 24th to the 28th (roughly) and had the biggest temp spike on the 25th, so I'm 7 DPO right now. We had sex the 24th, 25th, 27th, and 28th, and I expect a period either this week or the middle of next. I've been grumpy, weepy, tired, overly hungry (craving sweets), constipated (the last time I was constipated was when I was pregnant with Isobel), peeing a lot and my breasts are fuller and sore. These are, incidentally, also my period symptoms. I hate this waiting! We would be alright with this not being our month, but I wish that the symptoms were less similar!

i'm so sorry, BelovedK.

Miracle and Wonder: i believe the common culprit is progesterone.

I am so, so sorry, BelovedK! I've been paying attention to this thread and I saw when you got your bfp & was so happy for you.... I'll be hoping and praying that the next bfp you get will be very soon and that it will be perfect and healthy all the way.

I am so sorry BelovedK. Take time to grieve. It is so sad.

March 09 is/was the month I was due (although I miscarried). humbug. I am cd 19. Not sure when I ovulated as my temps seem to rise a few days after cm disappears, so I go by cm. The nettles sort of brought my temps up but at the same time, shortened my cycle by 3 - 4 days. I can definitely see an issue with my progesterone...as my temps used to be higher. I dont want to deal with that!

I'm guessing I am 7 days past O and fingers crossed.

What a bright, shiny new thread, Laurie!! Great job. It is so nice to catch up with you all. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for more mamas to get pg this month! Welcome to all the new mamas on this thread.

I'm 8 weeks today : and you could add my due date to the first page if you wish: 10/14/09 Unfortunately I'm home today with a start of a cold. I'm a teacher, and tons of kids and teachers at my school are down and out with a bad, bad flu which includes a high fever. I'm just hoping my cold doesn't go that route! I'm not taking any chances, so just laying low today. It's rainy, rainy, rainy here, so nice to curl up on the couch.

BelovedK, I'm so sorry to hear that.

I am gearing up to O we talked and decided along with the acupuncturist suggestion that we will try this month. It was going to take a bit to get the herbs and I would be into O time by then. So hopefully this will do it. If not I will go on the other protocol next cycle. I have upped my DHEA to 50mg and I added Fish Oil and B6 to my regime.

I know you found a great acupuncturist. I am thinking about going that route, what kind of lifestyle changes did you have to make? Is she also TCM? I have read a few books, and some of the things sound hard (like no bike riding, no cold foods ~I could do that though~ I can't remember right off, but they sounded hard to follow) There just seemed to be a ton of things, I may call today. I need some hope.

BelovedK - I'm so sorry. What happened, if you don't mind me asking? I mean, how do you know you lost the pg if AF hasn't arrived? Did you test positive and then negative? Because maybe it is just too early to get consistent test results? (((Hugs)))

Good luck Laurie. I would love nothing more than to see you get your BFP. You have been here a long time and are so patient.
