No milk???

I have had a great milk supply. Baby is 5.5 months.
I have been ill for months and am now on antibiotics. I felt for 2 days my milk feeling low, and today my poor baby was just getting really frustrated, almost yelling, and very upset at my right breast, I realised it felt empty. I switched to the left which always had more and baby nursed ok to sleep.
Also baby was ill this week too and had little appetite, so I am wondering:
~can antibiotics lower my supply?
~can baby/me eating less while ill decrease production?

Baby is thankfully looking healthy now. I have over a week to go on antibiotics. I do not have choice to not take them with what I have. I am only feeling milk coming in on one side.
What to do? I hope baby is getting enough!!! Baby seems happy but is now that I think about it, very upset with my right breast since maybe 2 days. The day before she was sniffing me before feeding yesterday strangely and avoiding one breast, and I remember thinking, maybe the antibiotics and medications are making me smell differently.

How are baby's diapers? If you are seeing 5 heavy wet diapers in 24 hours, and baby is gaining weight well, then you know baby is getting enough milk - and is likely going through a growth spurt. If you keep nursing often your supply should increase. Be sure you are getting enough to eat and drink yourself too!

Did you start any other medications or just antibiotics? Decongestants can significantly reduce supply.

Ah! lots of wet diapers. I did not consider this. Only today did we go for over 3-4 hours without a wet diaper (highly unusual for my little heavy wetter).
I am also on a prescription nasal spray (only a couple more days to go!)--that may be affecting things. I am now counterbalancing with a lactation tonic and finally both breasts feel heavy again, so yaaay.

Thanks, I will keep watch on the diaper situation. She does not seem to be dehydrated. And she did grow in length this week, I was just looking at her weight, so you must be right about the growth spurt.

Ah the joy of growth spurts
Glad to hear that you are doing better!
