Another Catholic vote for "no" knitting. I would love to knit during Mass, but I know that it would definitely be frowned upon by others.

I've seen other Friends (once, even the clerk!) knitting, but I could not. I'm too busy expectantly waiting. I wouldn't know about programmed Quaker meetings, though.

I'm hindu, and a knitter. I wouldnt knit during bajans (at temple or at someones home). Esp. not during aarti.

I might bring knitting for the time where you are waiting for things to start, and the socializing afterwords.

I wouldnt have a problem knitting in the temple, if I wouldn't have a problem talking, basically.
