Celebrity Apprentice?

Wow...I don't think I've watched Apprentice in years, but I saw the premiere last night and I think I'll be tuning in this season.

Anyone else catch it? Whatcha think about who got fired? :

I half -watched it while doing bills. I thought it was pretty good. I think the right person got fired. Next week it looks like it is 2 hours again. If Desperate Housewives isn't a rerun I'll watch that then turn to Celebrity Apprentice for the second hour.

I thought it was great!

I see a big problem though. The men have celebrities that both men and women can relate to. Men are going to love the sports guys, women are going to love Clint Black and Scott Hamilton.

The women have celebrities that no one really knows or cares about. Melissa and Joan Rivers are sort of train wrecks but, they're not really exciting celebrities. Other than the playboy chick, I can't seen any one of the women celebrities that men will care about and not really any that women will either.

The men have a huge advantage as far as star power so I hope all the challenges don't involve the public.

And that Annie Duke (is that the poker player's name)? Wow, she's a tough cookie. I could see how she would be really irritating but, she is a take charge person. She needs to work on her delivery but, I think she's spot on.

Michelle - I definitely agree with you. I was familiar with or at least had heard of all the guys - the girls...not so much! I'm glad they were able to draw on some strengths though and show that they know people (like the Playboy girl getting some bunnies to come down, the Deal or No Deal girl calling Eric Benet, etc). I could see all the girls at least pulling their weight, not so much for the guys!

So is the Apprentice a Sunday show now? I think the last time I watched it was on during the week...I can definitely do Sunday nights as that gives me something to keep me occupied while DH is at work!

Interesting. I think you're probably right.

I enjoyed the show more than I thought I was going to. I think Rodman should have been fired though. At least Andrew Dice Clay did SOMETHING. Rodman didn't seem to contribute anything, and I wonder why he's even there.

After really concentrating hard not to get completely distracted by the kind PSA for bad overdone cosmetic surgery (OMG!) I was very entertained by this show as always.

Dennis Rodman is extremely annoying and whiny. The Diceman was pretty funny, but I'm glad he's gone.

The Donald Jr's hairdo cracks me up, it's like the reverse of the Donald Sr hairdo. Ivanka is impressive with her presence and serious down to business attitude.

I think that the poker player lady is a know it all, and we know what happens to those.

Tom Green cracks me up, and I felt really bad for the Playboy model (sorry don't recall her name) when the Poker lady dogged on her about giving a flat of cupcakes up. She was treating her like she was a stupid child and I thought that was really mean.

Joan Rivers is extremely painful to watch.:

I loved it!

I was glad to see Dice go, although I think he would have made the season entertaining. Like someone said, who wants to have someone on their team when he fully admits he does things his way only and wont cooperate.

That Annie, she is rude and annoying. She is gonna get old quick!

Rodman better step it up or hes next.

Yeah, I watched it, too and I enjoyed it. I agree with a pp - Joan Rivers IS very painful to look at. It's amazing how surgeries she's had on her face!! Ouch.

I like the PB bunny - love her attitude and passion. Annie - yeah, she's gonna get old quick. Not a huge fan of her - way too bossy!

And I love Tom Green. I just love his quirky personality!!

IIRC, for each of the Celebrity Apprentice seasons, the season opener usually requires them to call upon their celebrity status and to appeal to the public/get their rich friends to help them out. But most of the other tasks are related to producing something - producing a gala, producing a commercial, producing an ad campaign, etc.

I love this show. It's hilarious.

I LOVE ANNIE DUKE!!! not only cuz we've been on mom groups together but that she doesn't take any gruff is a quality I LOVE and adore. She can get things done!

this is going to be a great season. Tom Green and Jesse James! OH MY! Jesse James had two lines in the boardroom last night, "Those cupcakes sucked" and "my friends don't have any money!" LOL! he's really hard to not love.....maybe we'll get to see Sandra Bullock?

I think either Andrew Dice Clay or Dennis Rodman should have gotten the axe. Dice quitting...and then not quitting... I think basically sealed it for him. Also, I wonder if calling Trump "Donny" helped seal his fate?

I'm not familiar with most of the women. Joan & Melissa...sure... and yes, her face looks absolutely painful. I liked the playboy bunny. I thought Annie Duke was a definite asset to the team, but I think she'll be axed soon.

Donald Jr.'s hair is just hilarious. It must be a family trait.

I never got into the regular apprentice shows, but loved the celebrity one last year and couldn't wait for this one to start!! So glad ADC is gone, he was annoying me lol.

I missed the first half last night because our cable went out. Grrr! So how did Scott Hamilton end up being project manager? And was Tom Green really as obnoxious as Scott was saying at the end? I felt really badly for Scott. I know he's REALLY committed to his charity.

I wanted to feel badly for Scott, but honestly he was acting like he had short angry man syndrome. He was putting Tom down and being really disrespectful. Then Hershel calls Tom a liar.

I felt bad for Tom and wanted Scott gone, I've lost a lot of respect for him. His eye rolling and just rude behavior were so over the top.

Tom Green was NOT being obnoxious, anyone who thought he was has not seen much Tom Green, because when he's obnoxious it's REALLY obvious.

Tom wanted to help, Tom was extremely creative and they just kept telling him to sit down "it's not about you Tom". He never really got to give any input, they would just diss his ideas and say he was trying to break their focus.

EEE was the lamest possible name for their character.

Jesse James should have stood up more, and man Clint Black sure seems like a jerk.

Melissa Rivers too, wow what a piece of work. "The entire thing was MY concept."

I was very mad for Tom and for Claudia last night getting dissed like that.

This show is good this year, major drama.

The way it was edited - I felt bad for Tom.

I think Tom was being a little hyper - but by the same token, I think others were being dismissive.

It seemed that the less they seemed to listen the more hyper Tom got (ah...probably in attempt to be heard????). It was just a bad cycle.

None-the-less Tom clearly called them on the EEE name and deliverred a fairly decent presentation.

Hershel is beginning to annoy me. He expects to be listenned to - but he is a bit agressive. The thing where he repeatedly said "shut up" to Tom was over the top in arrogance.

I like the Playboy centerfold. Not only is she easy on the eyes, but seems smart and committed. I was a little worried about her feet when she was running though.

I thought after last epi that Tom was going to do great this week. I missed the first 15 minutes, but at the end of the first day, it was like all high-fives and they were doing great. Amazing that it all fell to pieces for Tom like that. I was a fan after last show, but he totally shot himself in the foot going out drinking with Dennis. Like anything good could ever come of that! And from the promos you can see why Dennis was kept around. The ladies are doing a good job just being boring. Too bad they don't have more star power --> drama. Annie Duke + the Rivers is kinda good tho.
