What to do with your recycled phone books?

Ha, HA I was making breakfast for my kids and just thought of an idea of what to do with your coming up old recycled phone books. (Vegas has really thick phone books, so it'll work here. For cities that have small phone books, it can work, just stack more together. Ask your neighbors if you can have theirs when they expire.) I saw my preschool teacher use her phone book as a booster chair. She put masking tape all around the entire book to keep it solid and not shift. So I thought take it a step further. Decomposh (sp?) it to give it life And to make it water proof by laminating it with that clear shelf paper. Oh hey, more ideas coming into my head, have you child draw pictures or use up the old school projects you have now to paste on the booster chair. Then laminate it. I'm going to make a sink step stool with mine old phone book.
Does any have any other kind of uses for old phone books?

Shred them, bit by bit, in a shredder and use them for papier mache
Use as a gluing surface, so that when you need a clean spot, you can just rip off the top and have a fresh sheet
Um, I am sure there are other ones too. The last phone book was used as puppy training paper.

I have heard of people using them to make houses with a la Straw Bale but with phone books instead.
