Okay, so was it just me or was that the asteroid I saw this morning falling over the mountains looking west in Anchorage???

I thought it was a jet with contrails after it but the contrails did not linger............. then I read this......... http://www.livescience.com/space/090...2009-dd45.html

The timing is about right but still............ I'm not sure. It would be TOO cool to have seen that for real but how often does one get to witness something like that??? So that is why I am doubtful.

Don't know. Where we are, I don't see much happening in the sky unless it is about overhead. Too many trees around my house. Was excited to get so much snow this weekend. I was hoping for one last big snowfall before I left. Now, hopefully, we won't get anymore! That's the problem with hoping for one last snowfall up here -- you might get more!

it should snow THursday and or Friday.
My son is going up to Fairbanks for spring break to see his buddy. Should be a great trip for him!

I always forget to look for a new thread on the new month...I just visit via my subscribed threads, so a few days after the switch I'm always thinking "gee, the Alaskans got quiet" and then it hits me that there's a new thread. DOH!!

this snow is all crazy! My DH was plowing from 5pm to 4am last night! I woke up at 3am a bit freaked out that he wasn't home yet, was a long hour from 3 to 4am.

Cool! Another Alaska baby... woohoo!

Well, we have at least 3 feet of snow on the level now... all I can say is IT'S ABOUT DAMNED TIME! Yippee!

I already want to give the baby some kind of Alaskan-feeling name...I love Aurora for a girl or Denali for a boy, but I'm not sure if I can talk DH into either one. I only got the test two days ago anyway, so it's not like we're in a hurry, I don't even have a sense of the sex of this one yet (my mama instinct has always been right before) and we'll almost certainly get an ultrasound anyway, so no sense duking it out over two names when we're only going to need to pick one anyway, right?!

Congrats Momma! :That is awesome! : I really like the name Denali. Last night I told my husband it was time to whip out the Alaska Gazette to look up names for us! How exciting!

i know an aurora baby girl, well she would be 6 now. and I know a Denali boy, he is in my daughter's highschool
