so bummed...

Saturday was hard--we have been doing PERFECT on avoiding our allergens (I've finalyl found the resources and motivation- no exceptions) and have been going great---my DD was baselin for atleast a week and a half---SO excited and wanted to trial something for solids for her---

well we went to state wrestling championships--and was so good at holding ds2 1/2---well daddy was in charge and he was running around--I asked where he was (inder the bleachers with uncle Ben) -well he comes out with cheeseish powder on his lip--I smell his breath and it smells like doritos--so whether he picked up a bag or one I don't know--He got hives shortly after (been hive free for FOREVER--as I think egg was his trigger before- he only has red marks on his face normally now)---but there was no egg in doritos and has never got hives on tummy from dairy--anyways i was so bummed about to cry--poor kid-

next problem--go to the restaurant with my family visiting out of town and we do well and order salmon and steak and potatoes and salad (brought my own dressings) ---well after daddy finishes eating I pass DD9mo to him---I look over and she is chewing on something and I get it out and taste it and it is for sure a hash brown--with butter!!! ahh she immediately got her red bumps on her tummy and her face was that slapped look (never had that before--maybe it was just hot in there)---I started bawling!!!

just had to share--life is hard sometimes--how can I watch both my kids every second of their lives and still have them live in this world? !! I can't keep them under my arm forever and always..

this also made me think that dd is reacting to dairy herself and not just through my bm and leaky gut--which I assumed but hadn't seen for sure yet--soooo bummed.

. I'm sorry Mama. I hope this week is better.

on getting to baseline, though!

Accidental "trials" are the worst. I'm sorry that happened.

Oh I'm sorry.
Did your family see the reaction? Sometimes that helps with future respect and understanding

Always good when the family sees the reaction. That is the only benefit of it. Then they actually believe you, you know? When ds had his one and only direct dairy accident, he got the hiccups, got slappy faced, and vomitted a few hours later. We were at the in laws, and I was glad for it.
