How to handle school form

When I had dd, I blindly went along with ped and vac'd. She was on the ped schedule until ds was born and had adverse reactions to vacs. We started researching/reading/investigating on our own and stopped vaccig altoghter. DD was 3 and DS was 18 mos. DS2 hasn't been vac'd at all (thank God)and will not. Our opinion about vacs have radically changed in the last 5 years, obviously.

DD is headed off to Kindy next year and the school requires a vacs form. The form gives me 3 choices: 1. vac compliance (signed by doc), 2. philos. objection to vacs altogether (signed by doc and notary public) or 3. philos obj to certain vacs, where I need the doc's signature, notary and a list of the vacs we're objecting to.

DD is "due" for 3 more shots before we are in complete compliance which is not going to happen. So, what option do I choose? I"m afraid that if I choose #2 (which applies currently) the school will say how can you object when dd has had so many vacs? Likewise with #3. She's had all of the shots (with exception of chicken pox) that are required expect the boosters she is do. Won't the school say, well you didn't object before?

Have any of you had experience with this? What do I choose and I do I handle?? THANKS!

BTW, I live in Minneapolis, MN should anyone know anything specifically about this.

Quote:
(d) If a notarized statement signed by the minor child's parent or guardian or by the emancipated person is submitted to the administrator or other person having general control and supervision of the school or child care facility stating that the person has not been immunized as prescribed in subdivision 1 because of the conscientiously held beliefs of the parent or guardian of the minor child or of the emancipated person, the immunizations specified in the statement shall not be required. This statement must also be forwarded to the commissioner of the Department of Health.
MN doesn't have a religious and a philosophical exemption - it's the same. You can have a change in "conscientiously held beliefs" at any time. I don't think the form needs to be signed by the doctor either. Just you and notary.

Good Luck!

My oldest had some vax and I still turned in the exemption form later. No one said a word. HTH

: if you know for sure you are not doing any more vaccines for the kids, I suggest: 2. philos. objection to vacs altogether

The second option is most likely what we will be doing, since DS has had most shots (against my wishes) but none after 12 months.
