Can you nurse in a mei tai?

I just got my first mei tai yesterday and so far I love it. But it would be better for all-day wearing if I could nurse in it.

Hi, You can but it does take a bit of lowering the baby to your breast.
Does make walking and nursing possible.

Depending on your breast size, you can also just carry baby at breast level. That's how I carry my little one in a front carry (in either a mei tai or wrap) to be able to nurse as needed. You then just simply raise or lower your top and nurse upright.

If you aren't able to carry baby at breast level, then yep, just lowering the mei tai a little, by undoing the shoulder straps (don't need to lower the waist straps to nurse) and retying, will work.

Yup. I loosen the shoulders a little and retie then lift my shirt and undo the hook for my nursing tank.

I have too. I just lowered her to my breast and re-tied the mei tai.

Here's a you tube video showing how.

Yes. I can nurse more easily in my mei tai then I could in my rs.

By chance, I had to figure it out yesterday. I undid the knot behind his back and retied it under his butt, then sifted him sideways (like a cradle hold). It looked kind of funny but it worked.

I had a difficult time with the mei tai and nursing and did a better job with my ring sling
