How do I get water stains off of upholstery??

I have a dark grey couch from Ikea that is all cotton, nothing fancy, but is brand new! My son sat on it when I didn't realize his diaper was leaking, so I sprayed bac out on it and used lots of water, and now there's lovely white water stains on it. I had the same issue with our white couch. I've tried diluted vinegar and also diluted castile soap, but I don't know what i'm doing. I tried bottled water too, in case it was the minerals in our hard water.

Help! Any natural cleaners for couches, or ideas for water stain removal? I don't even know if it's the bac out that did it or the water.

To clean our mirco-fiber sofa, we used diluted vinegar and water - but it has to be HOT water. Hot water is the key. We were told this after getting our couch and chair professionaly cleaned.

I knew it would be something complicated.
I'll try that right now, thanks.

not natural, but if you get desperate the fabric wipes in the car care section are amazing!
