FWIW, your chart looks like a normal female cyclical chart. There is a deep dip on the one temp pre-ovulation there, but since it doesn't look like it's happening all the time and the post ovulation temps are reasonably high, it's probably normal. I wouldn't dwell on one off-looking temp.

Is this a normal (non-pg.) temp chart for you? Really what you want to look for is variations from YOUR normal, and also a pattern of always generally lower(or higher)-than typical temps (say if you are always below 97 or something like that.
We actually use FAM when TTC & now TTA (though, I haven't started my period since Aev was born over 21m ago - another clue!). I'm pretty good on my understanding of it and I know that that chart (from my almost 4yr old) is typical. I was trying to understand that in relation to the info Tanya provided. Also, the difference between charting with TTC #1 (got pregnant first month off the pill) and charting with #2. I don't have any non-nursing charts outside of the one I posted, and the month prior, when I was still on hte pill and just temping to learn the software and to get into the habit. (FWIW - I had totally erratic temps while on the pill. For anyone interested, here is that first chart, still on the pill - Alesse, I think it was called.)

Anyway, I don't know what is normal for me is my point. I'm confident in my charting abilities w/o temping (reading cervix opening & positioning and cervical fluid) so I don't know what my temps are like now. I don't even have a BBT Thermometer anymore.

There is that.

Water soluble vitamins are basically self-correcting. Fat soluble vitamins will take a while to build up, unless it is a megadose. Minerals take a while to build up or to be depleted, per my understanding. Again, unless there is a huge exposure/dose.

My concern is with the potential for creating an imbalance, with high dosing. Supplemental dosing with the RDA of any one vitamin or mineral isn't likely to cause an issue for mama or baby, essentially, even in conjunction with the nutrients in food. IMO.

Of potential concern is opening up a detox pathway, but having the others blocked due to an imbalance of nutrients caused by *high* dosing of individual nutrients.

It's only later I've wondered how close I was to not being able to conceive at all back then.
This struck me. It was only when I released *not* getting pregnant, that I did.

Pat (I think) mentioned something in another thread that has me wondering...

So.

After toxins are conjugated (flagged) in our 6 detox pathways, they're either released back into the bloodstream for the kidneys to catch and put in the urine, or they're incorporated into bile. We've been talking a lot about bile. Maybe we need to be focusing on the kidneys?

Once those toxins are flagged and released back into the bloodstream, is that where we're getting detox reactions? Can they still cause problems? Is that how they make it into milk? Is that how lemon juice works?

And so are there some things that are good for baby to eat, but bad for mom?

When we're careful detoxing while bf'ing, is the goal to reduce the water soluble toxins floating around?

oh man. i was wondering when we were going to get to the kidneys. i'm still digesting (ha) all the liver stuff. is there a head-in-the-sand smilie? seriously, though, i really do love all this stuff. i just wish we were all in person with books & articles instead of online.

tuberose has a kidney flush. Know what it is?

Kidney Flush
In a blender, mix the following:
Juice of one lemon and one lime
16 to 32 oz. of distilled water
A pinch of cayenne pepper
Maple syrup to taste (optional)
sound familiar? there's also a tea/tonic/tincture to go along with it. I wonder if that would help with the milk issues?

very interesting.

i've decided to sit down with my pen and paper and write out all of my/our symptoms/cravings/clues. and then what that might mean for various pathways/organ functioning. and what THAT might mean for which supps and foods are best for us.

we're adding foods back in with a quickness over here. everything is passing. DD1 does not have pristine skin, but it's not open and oozy, it's just a little scabby in a few places. we've been kind of weepy and irritable, but is that biochemical? or is it because we just got a foot of snow after a week's worth of spring?

That is a good idea! I'm finding this is like a huge 5000 piece puzzle with a couple extra pieces mixed in for fun.
