DS had reflux as a newborn, but outgrew it by about six months. He is 13 months now.
We took him to the dr a week or so ago because he had started waking up crying at least once an hour at night and was just crabby and not himself during the day and we thought he might have an ear infection. The dr said that his throat was raw and that he suspected the reflux was back. Once he said it, I did remember that DS had been really burpy lately, and even spit up a couple of times after eating yogurt (he hadn't spit up in MONTHS before that).
So we started him back on the same rx that he took when he was a newborn. He slept through the night again on the first night, but since then has been getting steadily worse again and seems just as upset during the day.
The only new food he has had in the last few weeks has been cow's milk. But he's had yogurt and cheese for months now with no problems whatsoever. And he doesn't really like the cows milk and hardly drinks any of it anyway.
Could this be some sort of food sensitivity or allergy that is causing the reflux? I didn't think reflux in toddlers was that common...
