Friday, March 13th, 2009 - 7pm
3748 W. Montrose Ave
Chicago, Illinois

Gateway Montessori is holding a parent education night with the author of At Home with Montessori. She will be talking about Montessori principles and how to integrate those into your home and family life. Patricia Oriti is an internationally recognized parent educator and school adviser with over 35 years of Montessori experience. She is the author of At Home with Montessori, a popular parent resource.

While the parent education nights at Gateway are typically just for parents of currently enrolled students, we'd like to invite the public to join us for this special speaker - adults only, please.

Please rsvp to dorina773@gmail.com so we can estimate the number of attendees.

Living Well With And For Our Children

* What are the healthy characteristics of the child from birth to early adulthood?

* What causes these healthy characteristics to falter and become problems?

* How can we provide for healthy development and avoid some of the upsets and habits that come from frustrating essential activity?

* How can we work on environment and relationship instead of constantly addressing problems?

* What are the obstacles to strong development and how do we remove them?

* What elements of support for healthy development can we put in place?

When the child's authentic needs are met during development, we see the true child.
