Accidentally slept through two pumpings. How bad will this hurt my supply? Please help, I'm...

I went to sleep last night and set my alarm to wake me up in two hours to pump again. Unfortunately, I set it to 12:15 PM instead of 12:15 AM. I slept until 8:00am when I woke up incredibly sore and full and in a frantic because I knew I had missed two pumpings (Midnight and 6am). I'm pumping now and have already gotten 10 oz out where I usually get 3-4 per pumping.

I guess my question is how badly might this affect my supply and what can I do today to fix it? Marathon pump? Or just stay on my 2 hour schedule? I'm producing 36 oz right now at 10 day postpartum, which is more than my twins need NOW, but I know they'll need that much soon and I don't want to take any risks of losing any of my supply.

I am no expert on this, but I think you will probably be fine just to resume your regular 2 hour pumping schedule. One night shouldn't hurt anything!

Congrats to you on the birth of your twins!

I agree with PP, I don't think missing a few pumpings is a big deal at all. Stop worrying

Thanks. I'm keeping track of how much I'm pumping and it doesn't seem to have affected me too much, other than being incredibly uncomfortable when I woke up. I worry a lot about my supply because it's all I can do for my babies right now.

Sort of off topic but I just wanted to say 36 oz at 10 days postpartum - you rock!

yup, agreed, you rock!
and you obviously deserved (and needed) the sleep!
