Welcome African Tulip! Productivity Vibes to you all...

I started a new job this week and so I'm taking it easy on myself all week. That said, I still need some small goals. Here goes:

Cook dinner and wash supper dishes.
Pack lunch for tomorrow (and a stash of chocolate).
Prepare tommorow morning's coffee to brew.
Exercise for half an hour (toning).
Lay out tomorrow's clothes and pack work bag.
To bed by 8:30. I have been exhausted all week.............

Again good luck to all. :

I got the family finances and paperwork completed finally, but the rest is still in progress. Playing with the kitten is just so much fun! When DD came home from school, grandpa came to visit and ended up taking her with him. I have still only played with the kitten...

This evening I need to:
run dishwasher and put dishes away
wipe down kitchen counters
two more loads of laundry- DONE
put away all clean laundry- DONE
set table for breakfast in the morning
set out outfits for tomorrow

Edited to add: just came back to update what I was able to finish. Not nearly as much as I had hoped, but the baby kept trying to "help" and it took much longer. Then it took forever to get the kids to bed and I'm just exhausted now!
Better luck tomorrow, I suppose.

Welcome Ollineeba!

I've completed all tasks. Now I am assigning one more before bed. I am scooping the litter box.

Happy productivity to all (and to all a good night).

Also, Sunnysandiegan, I'm glad you're feeling better! Welcome back.

I caught some 24 hour stomach bug so I spent all day in bed or on the couch trying to entertain my two year old (who of course decided today was the time to want mommys undivided attention). My house looks aweful so hopefully I will be back tomorrow feeling better than ready to work.

Welcome Kellid! Best of luck to you!

OkiMom, I hope you feel better. My throat is feeling a little sore. I just started a new job with little ones who haven't been feeling well.

As for me, I need to make supper, wash the dishes, make my bed (gasp), scoop the litter box and 2 five minute room rescues (FlyLady jargon).

Be back to report my progress!

Thanks Poetry.. It was a stomach bug DH brought home from work, he works with a lot of people with school age children so hes always bringing bugs home. Luckily it hardly ever makes us really sick, this last one was nasty though. Im fortunate though, I had a really mild case, its been putting people in the hospital over here. I hope you aren't getting sick. Maybe its just from being tired with the new job and the children.

I made a to-do list of areas I HAVE to clean today since I have someone coming by Saturday to pick up the entertainment stand we dont' use (Ya! one less piece of clutter- and its a HUGE piece). Heres my list:
(3) loads of laundry - I already have one in the washer, one in the dryer.
Reclean living room
Clean Den
Clean Bedroom- Done!
Start going through outgrown baby clothes
Wipe down bathrooms
Dishes (just started up the load)
wipe down sinks
go through DD's books
Straight DH's and my book case- Done!

My two year old is being really clingy to me since I got sick (me being sick scared her- Im never really sick where I have to stay in bed) so who knows what Ill be getting done and what I won't be.

Thanks PoetryLover!

Last night, I was able to spend quite a bit of time working on the aprons.

I was on a field trip with my DD's class all day today (which was tons of fun ), so nothing got done at home. Since we've been home, the kitten has pretty much consumed our attention. However, I was able to get the backyard washed down (chairs and windows) and the rest of the weeding done and plants watered.

Bathrooms are next on the plan after friends stop by to meet the new kitten and bring supplies for the party.

Aprons are up after dinner...

Ok, Got the bedroom and the bookcase straightened. DD2 fell asleep so Im going to go try to clean up the den and go through DD1's books before she wakes up. That should take me 2 15 minute sessions.

Upstairs bathrooms are finished! The downstairs bathroom can wait until the day of the party for the next cleaning. It was just done Saturday morning.

One apron is completely sewn and ready for the party. The other seven are in various stages of my assembly-line process.

On today's agenda:
~ Finish 4-5 more aprons. The first one took four 15-min sessions. Five of the remaining seven aprons will take less time each and I plan to focus on those today.
~ Regular Trader Joe's shopping and a list of party supplies/errands to do along the way.
~ Run our partyware dishes and utensils and such through the dishwasher (with our regular dishes) and make sure we have everything.
~ Open the table up all the way and do a dry run for making it look appropriate for the party. (DD made up her own theme: Mix & Match Cooking and Game Party. Lots of fun!!!) DD & I will do this together and take a picture so we can replicate it. We'll leave the table big, but put all the stuff away between now and party day.
~ Oh, in order to make the table big, DD has to pare down her dollhouse furniture-making supplies (recycled items). They are neatly bagged/boxed and stacked on the floor in the kitchen between the table and the wall, right where she is going to be sitting on party day!

I got almost everything done tomorrow and realized when my husband got home that I was feeling awful again. I think I did to much so today I spent the day reading to my daughters and relaxing. Im really tired so I don't think Im fully over the bug. I usually have a lot of energy in the middle of the day.

I didn't exactly stick to my list.

I did work on aprons today... in two sessions. The first session was three 15-min increments. I do not recall how long the second session was. DD was playing with the kitten and I just went until I was needed, dealt with whatever needed my attention, then went back to the aprons until dinner (probably just over an hour from starting to ending, but not that many minutes were actually spent ON the aprons, IYKWIM). I did not finish 4-5 aprons, but I did get 5 aprons farther along in my assembly line.

I also did our Trader Joe's shopping and four other places for the party (one while DD was in school and three with her). We had only planned to go to one place, but that store didn't have everything we needed.

We decided to do other stuff to prepare for the party than I had listed above and we did those in a few 15-min sessions.

Tonight, I had a volunteer task to do and it took way longer than I anticipated, so the aprons will get done tomorrow.

I know it's friday...

the inlaws are coming over in a few hours and I'm pretty darn exhausted (like 3 hours of sleep). I am drinking coffee, but I'm finding it very difficult to get the usual things done. Sigh.

Motivation anyone? Join me in some quick crisis cleaning?
