Scorpio Babies

Looks like we are all going to have our hands full I don't actually know any Scorpios so I found this interesting. (My first DD is a Libra so hopefully she will help balance things out!)

October 23 - November 21
Planet - Mars & Pluto
Element - Water

When a Scorpio baby enters the world, all eyes will focus on them. And that's exactly how it will be for a long time to come, as this baby must be the center of attention! To that end, this is quite the manipulative little tot, sucking up energy from everyone around. The Scorpio baby is also a bit mysterious, making it hard to figure out what's wrong when the crying starts. So often, it's something which is seething below the surface and will be very hard to draw out of this child. You must also consider power struggles when thinking of this child, as the Scorpio baby will expect that Mom, Dad, and everyone else will fit into their schedule and plans. Make no mistake, this is a powerful child! The flip side of this is that this baby is quite clear on what they want and can get that message across. One important note: Scorpio babes loathe lounging in dirty diapers, so change them often! Many times, this can be the simple source of their discomfort, although the malady may not always be so clear. For that reason, the Scorpio baby should be watched closely. Someone will generally be watching this child, though, as the Scorpio tot enjoys a crowd, especially one where it can lead. To sum up, the Scorpio baby is clever, wants things on their own terms, and will know how to get it. Watch out!

-------------

23 October - 21 November

Young Scorpios have strong personalities. They know what they want and will go out and get it. Very loving and loyal to family and friends, Scorpios can, however, be wary of strangers. Your child may develop a trait of keeping his thoughts secret, but at the same time will be adept at finding out everyone else's secrets. Scorpios can often bear pain well so parents should learn to recognise small signs of discomfort from their babies.

At play a Scorpio baby will learn from people seen as being stronger than themselves. If anyone should break one of his toys, Scorpio will seek revenge. Scorpio children enjoy a good fight, and they intend to win.

Your child will be active, quick to learn and intelligent. Scorpio children often develop an almost insatiable curiosity about almost everything, but especially anything hidden, mysterious or forbidden. Parents will need to develop a tactful way of guiding their child away from unsuitable subjects.

Scorpios love to have a private place of their own, either a room or a secret hiding place. This gives them a sense of security. Scorpio children will thrive if they believe that people around them will always be loyal.

Interesting! I'm a little scared though.

Well, my mom, brother and best friend are all scorpio's. So I think I can handle another scorpio I hope I can!!

Well, seeing as how we have two boys, if this one is the girl we've been hoping for then I have to agree with the "all eyes will be on her for a long time" bit.
I've never put that much stock in signs really, I find them more amusing than prophetic...but they are interesting to read.

Yeah - I'm a Scorpio. So I'm a little frightened! LOL
post #6 of 32
Oh geeze...I'm just going to pretend I didn't read any of that.

The ONE thing that I am worried about is that this baby is going to be as high needs as DS was/is. The thought if 3 more years of no sleep is really making me fearful. Not sure I can survive it.

But at the same time I thought that was horribly negative. Scorpios are passionate, fun and faithful deep friends. They are very smart and have great intuition.

I'm a scorpio too!
You know how women are told that someday they will get a child just like themselves, and then they will see what they put their mothers though?
Well, here it comes for me! I'm convinced it will be a girl...

I love our first little Scorpio. He's incredibly sweet and has always been a very content little guy.

I didn't used to put to much stock in star signs until I had a completely Gemini boy followed by a total Pisces. They just are so much like their signs its kinda of spooky. That said my MIL is a scorpio and she doesn't really sound like that at all...except the powerful personality part.

I'm glad to hear some positive Scorpio traits!! What a relief I agree, I thought the overall reading was pretty negative too!

I generally don't put a lot of stock in astrology, but must admit that I am an incredibly anal Virgo married to a head-in-the-clouds, laid-back Pisces... so I can't say I don't get sucked into it sometimes

I'm a Sag and it's funny how dead on I am for a sag, my DH is a very typical Pices and my DD fits "gemeni" so far....but I have to say, I look forward to my little scorpio baby!

The best and most loyal, loving, intelligent and intuitive friend I've ever known is a Scorpio...she has two kids who are the best, most TRUE and LOYAL and BRAVE little kids...I can't tell you how awesome these kids are....both scorpios, just like mom.

I'm not scared, I'm enthralled! I can't wait...plus, I think that a little girl gemeni and then a little boy or girl scorpio sounds like a great mix!!

I love this stuff...I love all the lore and star signs and charts and moons, all of that...it's so much fun. Especially when pg, when you really need stuff like this to obsess over to pass the time waiting!

I was being a little facetious. Some of that passion may be hard to handle as infants/toddlers...but long term, hopefully it can be shaped into something wonderful! It's true, the other Scorpio qualities are great. I love being a Scorpio!

So true! That is my best female friend to a tea! But maybe it is because I'm a Sag too, maybe Sag and Scorpio's are just really good friends together.

This is so interesting! I have a gemini boy and then will have a scorpio girl or boy! Almost everything I have read is so negative about this combination, so I'm a little eek! but I have to trust that it will work out beautifully.

What she said! DD is awesome, but sure is a spirited thing and still doesn't sleep through the night

A lil nervous about the Scorpio thing :)

My husband and I were ecstatic that the baby would be born in November, because we were both born in late November (Sag, both). When we found out the due date as mid-November and the accompanying sign, we just looked at each other and started laughing. We are just a little nervous because my sister is a Scorpio and tends to exhibit the worst characteristics of that sign. Ah well, Scorpio or Sag, I don't think it will matter, so long as they are loved

OP -- Where did you find that particular description directed to young children? Reading it, it fits my Libra (borderline Virgo) son almost to a T, so I'd be interested in reading about young Libras/Virgos to see where the overlap is. I know my own sign pretty well, but I'm not as familiar with the nuances of others. TIA!
