Hi all. I am not sure if any of you can help me with this but I figured I would give it a shot. My son has autism and we are using biomedical treatments to help him. I am currently giving him something called enhansa which is a curcumin supplement. It is meant to help get rid of yeast and viruses and is an anti-inflammatory... Well my son seems to have a ton of yeast and viruses. We just started this supplement about a week ago and already he has had cold symptoms, sneezing, runny nose, vomiting, etc. So it does seem to be doing its job and that is a good thing... But here is what Im worried about.. My 8 month old DD is just going to be exposed to whatever viruses come out of him. Both her and I both have some cold symptoms, though pretty mild since I am taking zinc/vitamin C. I just am wondering though, if this supplement happened to start getting out viruses like measles (from the vaccine), could this be contagious to my daughter? (She is not vaccinated at all by the way) The vaccines use an inactive measles virus right? I just have no idea if this could be passed on to her if he was detoxing this virus.
Also, I have heard about sambucol (elderberry extract) being good for preventing viruses, but since she is only 8 months I dont know that I could give that to her, not even sure if its safe for me to take while breastfeeding..
One other thing, does anyone know at what age a child is likely to be able to handle the measles virus without having serious complications?
I appreciate any advice!
Jen
