Causes of being late?

What are the reasons that someone would be late if not pregnant? I am thoroughly confused here. I am ten days late and fairly sure that this couldn't be a pregnancy. For the last week and a half or so I have been feeling like I am going to get my period, but it just isn't happening.

I am always pretty regular and haven't been having any weird issues with my period either. I don't feel like anything is really wrong except that 'period is coming' feeling, but it isn't.

I figure if I post this, it will come overnight.

Do you know when you ovulated? In any cycle there is a chance that you could ovulate late if you are stressed or ill around that time in your cycle. Your luteal phase generally stays the same so that if you ovulate late, you will have your period late.

Have you tested just to be sure? I always get my period the day after I freak out and test.

Or, wear a pair of white pants! That will get her coming.

I just tested. Apparently there is a darn good reason for being 11 days late.

Really. I could be two months already even based on the situation.

I am pretty stressed about it and just had a terrible conversation with the OB's office. WTH is up with these people?

I was going to say, based on the fact that you feel like your period is going to be coming that you could well be pregnant. Early pregnancy can feel like long term PMS for some...

But now you know. And knowing is half the battle!!

The same thing happened to me last year. When I was a good 10 days late I took a pg test just to rule out pregnancy before I went to see my provider about early menopause.
