Can I show off my cute wool cover?

I need to show this to people who care!

I'm no expert seamstress. This is my first time trying to add appliques to a wool cover. Here's how it turned out:

Question: Do I need to lanolize this? It's been so long since I've used wool, I've forgotten the basics. I have some Eucalin (sp?) wool wash. I used to have some lansinoh or something, I guess I better be finding it before this baby gets here, huh?

That is cute and very nicely done. Don't worry about the lopsided applique. It gives the cover some character. As for washing, don't use the wool wash. Just use some shampoo when needed. And, yes, lanolize it. Joy uses Lansinoh when she lanolizes.

Very cute. I really like the color. I would lanolinize it with lansinoh.

Thank you guys so much! I needed someone who could appreciate getting excited about something to be pooped on!

I will find my lasinoh. Why not use wool wash?

Most detergents designed for wool, such as Woolite, strip the lanolin from the wool. And that's not what you want to do with wool soakers. And to clarify what Joy uses--she uses baby shampoo on all Lindsay's and Parker's wool and hand washes them in the bathroom sink. Lanolizing takes place in the kitchen sink.
