silk question

we want to dye some sink fabric for playsilks. which weight of silk do you use? i was on Dharma Trading Company and they have something like 10 different kinds,but no pictures so I can see what i want. HELP!

I would use 8 mm. We have some silkscapes that are lighter, 5 mm, and they snag on our play stands. The 8 mm silks are more durable and still light and airy.

We used the Habotai scarves, 35" square.
