Vacuuming while babywearing - could dust be a problem?

For the past few months I've almost always done the vacuuming with DD in her ring sling or beco, it's been very handy and we've both enjoyed it, but now DH has become worried about the dust that the vacuum kicks up (he says he can smell it - he has a much better sense of smell than me!). Does anyone know anything about this? I tried looking on the internet to no avail.

If your little one isn't coughing/sneezing/complaining at all I wouldn't worry about it. If they are in a front carry, they are facing away from the vacuum--in a back carry, they are blocked by your body. If your LO enjoys it, have at it. and if you clean out your vacuum regularly it shouldn't be a problem (unless you/your LO have allergies of course).

If the baby isn't reacting I wouldn't be worried.

I wouldn't worry either.

Unless baby is showing some sort of negative reaction, I wouldn't worry about it.

For DD's first several months, I had to wear her because she was afraid of the machine (and I wouldn't have been able to vacuum, otherwise).

Now, I wear her because she wants to play with the machine... (and I wouldn't be able to vacuum, otherwise!).
