I think he was just hungry, he would do the mouth movements and root and even try to eat the face, neck, shoulder of whoever was holding him. Its gotten better the past few days. He weighed 10 pounds 4 ounces so he gained just under a pound this past week so I feel good about that. He is still fussy though but from what I have been reading fussiness while nursing is very common at 5-7 weeks so I feel confident he is doing fine, I just needed some reassurance before I went crazy. I don't think I have PPD but I do have days where I feel like I just can't cope anymore. And I do use a pacifier it seems to help lots to get him to sleep and in the car.
