Anyone here HS and send child to PS

There is a lot of back story here, I will try to condense it a bit. My DD is a 2nd grade HSer. She was in PS for K and 1st grade, but half way through 1st grade we moved to a new school and she began hating school. She would cry every morning and fight to go, she had few friends and was bored in her class. So we decided to try HSing. But she is unhappy at home, misses being in class with kids, says it isn't fun (I suspect she means she didn't expect to be doing similar work she would be doing at school, but she has yet to fully clarify that). We have struggled to find our groove HSing, I am a planner she is spontaneous, so we kind of struggle. I do feel that HSing is better for her, and I think with more time we will find the right fit for us, but I don't want her to resent me for keeping her home.

So I am wondering if anyone here might have gone through something similar. Any advice. I worry she won't be as happy back in PS as she thinks she will be, and we will be back to struggling over school all over again.

Did you post to the homeschooling board? I have a very little one, so I do not yet homeschool, but I am possibly planning that direction. One possibility is to try more of an unschooling approach. Letting your daughter "just be" and find her groove. What is she interested in? Explore that a little. If she misses friends, hook up with a homeschooling group in your area. Really commit to it the rest of the year, and then re-assess. See if any of the homeschoolers can offer better advice : )
