getting out the poop stains

we are using bum genius diapers. We wash them with sensisoap and dry them in the sun. We have been using them for one month and the poop is leaving a stain. Any suggestion on how to better clean them?

Do you do a cold rinse cycle before you wash? If not, you could try that.

yup- I do the cold soak/rinse and then a hot wash and still stains

Wash them, but don't dry them. Then take them out, and give them a good squirt with Oxy-clean, and then wash them again.

Unfortunately, though, sometimes poop stains are just a fact of life with diapers. It doesn't mean the dipes aren't clean-- if they SMELL clean, they are. Stains are just stains. But if they really bother you, I've used Oxy-clean to take stains out of outgrown diapers before storing them, and it worked well. I don't think I'd bother on an ongoing basis, though. Stains happen.

I spray off all poopy diapers w/ a diaper sprayer & only wash 1x a week & so far almost no stains. It wont help w/ the ones that are already stained, but it could save you from more stains

BumGenius! allows bleaching once per month with regular chlorine bleach.

I use OxiClean free in every wash and have no problems with staining.

Also use a Diaper Sprayer on all poopy diapers before putting in the pail.

the only reason I was concerned about the stains was because I wanted to try and resell them when we were done. Not only are they stained but they are starting to come apart-after 6 weeks of use. what a BUMmer!! Thanks for the tips.
