Roamer Turtle Robot to teach a young child programming? Anyone have exp with it?

We homeschool but I'm posting here because it is my understanding that Roamer Robots are often used in schools...so I hope somebody has exp with this. I have signed my son up for a summer camp that teaches 2nd and 3rd graders how to program Roamer Robots (the Turtle) to move and play music. They will use math pack cards...but I have no idea what sort of math is required. I'm having a very hard time finding information online. I can call the camp place but it's hard to get an answer.

Is anyone here familiar with these robots? I would love to know what kind of math is required. We unschool, but my son would be in 2nd grade if he went to school. He's pretty comfortable with manipulating numbers but since we don't use a curriculum, I guess I need to know what level of math he needs so I can prep him. He's very excited about the camp and has committed to working on formal math for the end goal of learning how to program Roamer robots. Can anybody help? Thank you.

I'm guessing these are based on the LOGO programming language. I've taught a variation of that called Starlogo. Based on my experience with that, I would assume that the math involved would not be as much arithmetic as number relationships and practical application of geometry (shapes, angles, etc). For example, he'll be programming the turlte to go 20 steps une direction, turn a certain amount, go another distance, etc. They will probably program the turtle to make different shapes. It's probably pretty similar to Lego robotics, which is also used in schools a lot and even has national competitions. Sounds like a really fun summer camp!
