Pubic bone pain caused by baby dropping?

I'm pretty sure my baby has dropped. My other 2 never dropped until labor started. But now I have intense pubic bone pain that I didn't have with the first two. I'm assuming it is worse because the baby is sooo low. The pain is terrible. It hurts when I walk, when I get up from sitting, move when laying down, basically anytime I move. Has anyone else had this? Could it last for weeks or does it mean labor is approaching.

Does anyone know a way to relieve it?

Got the same pain.... here is the post. Pelvic Pain Oh my! I have found hot baths, heating pads and spending less time running around helps. But nothing has taken away the pain.

Mine has gotten much worse this week. I was in tears this morning trying to do some shopping it was so bad. I do think it gets worse as baby drops lower and labor approaches. Not much longer girls!

Sorry, I just saw this title on the main page and had to respond. I had the same pubic bone pain when I was pregnant with ds and it was the worse! What I had was symphysis pubis dysfunction and it lasted for the last NINE weeks of my pregnancy. I'm not sure if this is what you may be experiencing, but I thought I'd share that rolfing really helped me tremendously and it may be something that could help you for these last few days of your pregnancy.

hI, I know that pain so well. I had it really bad with # 2 & 3 it started for me after about 5 months and often when I was doing stretching, hikin,or gardening. It is caused by the connective tissue inbetween your pelvic bones getting so soft it can actually feel like bone on bone. What can help is wearing a hip belt to keep the hips tight and undo stress in that area. Even wearing a back support belt real low can do wonders.

i feel your pain- literally!! i've been dealing with it for the last 3 weeks (or so)....i'm 38 weeks. it feels like someone took a bat to my pubic bone. OUCH.

my midwife recommended arnica. i honestly haven't tried it (just bought some yesterday)...she said to either apply the gel right on the area or take the pellets. don't know if either would work.

Yep, I feel the same pain, been feeling it for weeks now. DH doesn't understand why I don't want to go shopping or out for a walk with him, he thinks I'm just being a preggie hermit. DUDE, because it HURTS! Next time, let me give you my uterus to borrow, maybe you'll understand how much of a literal pain a low-sitting babe can be.
