Babywearing in extreme heat

This is my first post, so hopefully I do okay!

I'm a new mommy to 5-week-old Lilia. I have a basic sling (Nojo) that I got as a hand-me-down, but it hurts my back badly very quickly. I also have a Moby Wrap, which I totally love and I wear her pretty much all the time in it. The only thing I don't have down is nursing in it, so I still use the sling when she wants to nurse.

Anyway, I live in Phoenix and it's about to get very hot. I can already tell that this thing is not gonna work in the heat! Can anybody recommend some kind of sling/wrap/carrier that's good for hot weather but doesn't kill your back if you have a bad back?

I would greatly appreciate any feedback. Thanks!

I used a ring sling here (Costa Rica) made out of lightweight cotton material. Works great & we never really get overheated.

I live in FL so I feel your pain Anyways when DD was tiny I had a lucky baby pouch..I loved it! Now I have a mei tai for DD 1 (19mos) and DD2 (2 weeks). I like it and it does not get too hot. Now it is black so I just need a diff color and I'll be set. Even a thinner cotton ring sling would probably be great!

I'm in Palm Springs (CA). almost identical weather.
sling made of solarveil material should do.
for your bad back, you might want to gravitate towards a 2-shoulder carrier.
Connecta has a solarweave or is it solarveil material. i think it's the first one.
ergo has a sport version too, which is suppose to be lighter weight.

for wraps, there's wrapsody's water wrap.

I swear by my ring sling (bought from etsy... raspberrybaby) its light weight and comfy (I live in Fl hot,hot,hot). Ring slings are so much easier to learn to nurse in (IMO). Good luck!
