Whee! Talked to the principal this morning, and she totally got behind the idea of canvassing parents to see if they'd be interested in paying for private bus service to daycares, activities, etc. (A mark of how desperate we are for solutions, I guess!) She asked me to make up some flyers with the info, and the bus company guy and I will attend kindergarten roundup and be part of the show. So we'll see! Could be nobody's interested, but if they are, we'll have solved at least part of the after-school childcare problem.
