Flu season

I know there was a post a few days ago from a momma whose DH had the flu, and there's been a few posts about mommas having the flu. How is everyone feeling? Has anyone had to endure labor while sick? I'm kind of nervous, because my husband got sick yesterday, and is all stuffy and coughing. I'm praying I don't get it, but luckily I'm not due for a few more weeks, so hopefully I can recover before labor if I do. What are some precautions you're taking to stay healthy? Extra vitamin C? Lots of water? I'm trying to sleep a lot, but it's getting more difficult. I hope everyone can stay healthy!

We were healthy for the delivery(2/13) but we are finally coming out of a fog of a sick household which has been going on almost all of our babymoon It has really but a damper on the new baby fun-ness I have spent almost all my time trying to keep everyone away from him(which my 2yo really did not understand!) So that he stays healthy~ I know that he has a much better immune system because of the breatmilk but I still worry!

I had the upper respitory stuff but now don't fell too well again! I had a fever last night (100-101 F) and took Tylenol and it hasn't returned at all, which is good. I have a headache, too. My body just feels funky and I'm soooooo frustrated because I just got over the upper resp. thing! I don't know if the fever was a fluke, or if I'm getting something else, or what. My due date is Thurs. I do not want to be sick going into labor. I'm not down sick today, but I do feel just a little weird. And then with all that happened with my son falling down the stairs... ugh.... I've just had enough. I'm ready to get past all of this.

Since we were in the ER with ds on Tuesday, I can't help but wonder if I picked something up there. :

I read recently that honey and cinnamon together is a great immune booster. So I had some raw honey and cinnamon tea this morning and will have more tonight.

My family's been sick pretty much the whole winter. We're just getting over the flu now, and I've decided not to take my son out anywhere in public until the baby's here. Toddlers pick up everything!

I'm just glad I'm not having a baby in the beginning of winter, then I'd have to deal with a sick newborn all winter. Where are you spring????

us too - i'm actually sitting here praying that this baby doesn't come until after (long after) this flu I have is gone - I'm also hoping that dh doesn't get it. DD has already had it so we are safe there.

I feel like there is no way my body could go into labor rigth now - please please little baby, stay put for a while! I oculd not deal with labor on top of this illness. how is that even possible?

And, like PP, we have been sick ALL winter. This is my second flu - the first was a stomach flu and this one is that achy/congested/fever flu.

I'm blaming preschool

Same here! And ds doesn't even go to preschool, but he gets sick every single time he goes anywhere to play with other kids.

We just got over a 2+ week run of something.........fevers, coughs you name it! With a family of 7 you can just imagine how long it takes sometimes to get healthy!

My theory is that baby will know when it's a good time for you to have him/her ~ and being in labor while sick is NOT a good time LOL.

My husband seems to be better, and I didn't get sick (*crosses fingers*) I don't know if I'm just lucky or if my immune system is awesome due to all the vitamins I'm taking, but I am thrilled to have missed the flu! I hope everyone else is recovering well
