Kids and flossing

I just took the three boys to the dentist and while they had a great checkup and no cavities, they told me I really need to get them flossing. I said, "great!" but on the way home, I was trying to figure out how exactly to do that.

My two older boys are mostly brushing on their own (I usually follow-up just to make sure everything was covered) but my youngest HATES having anything in his mouth, and brushing is almost a battle. How am I going to get in there to get any flossing done?

I'm wondering if I should invest in some flossers or just either try and show them how with traditional string or do it myself. It'll be hard getting my big ol' fingers in their little mouths....

I've been using the disposable flossers with my boys (3 1/2)
they don't mind much and they enjoy "doing it themselves" first then I do a run through. Its easy for me to reach in there that way (as opposed to string)

My dentist recommended those flossers (well, not those exact, I didn't even know that had fancy child themed styles, just child sized) and gave us some samples. Although my girls are quite adept at using regular dental floss and I have to help a bit with the molars. That is why the dentist recommended the flossers (I can't remember what they're called now) to reach easier into their tiny mouths.

I use a water pick and it has a travel one. I give it to my kids in the bath and they think it's hilarious. I think they are actually using it effectively though my bathroom gets a good spray down
