Baby hat on new Mothering Mag

I would really, really love to knit the hat that adorable babe on the new mag cover is wearing. . . my niece is the perfect model for this. Anyone know where the pattern came from? Any possiblities? Thanks.

It is adorable. I have made several for friends that had babies over the past 2 months. Very quick and rather easy for a beginner like me.

I am working on a yellow one right now using leftover yarn. I really want to hit the yarn store for something cute for DD.

I've been wanting to make this for a while. Seeing the amazing one on the cover spurred me into action! But I want to get the shaping right around the face. Some of the FOs on Ravelry seem to short on top. Anyone here made some and have some thoughts? I'm planning a "test" one with some Wool of the Andes that's been here for a while DH will be happy to see me using something from the stash!

it's all in how tight you tie it under the chin - I know my boys would never, ever have let me pull it that snug around their face, but the hat would acommodate it if they'd have let me
