Thinking of starting a home Daycare....Help!

So I have another thread going about work stress...and the more I think about it and DH & I talk about it, the more I lean towards starting a small at home daycare.

For those of you that run one and/or have worked in one...what do I need to know before I start?

Here's what I do know:
State ratio requirements
The hot tub needs a sturdier cover
I need to take an orientation class

There is some statement in the state licensing handout that says no baby swings/jumpers/exersaurcers are aloud on the premises. Can you make any sense of this? My 10mo old niece has a 'jonny jump up' and LOVES it!

Anyways...what do I need to know/do? Or would I just be nuts with an infant coming in July?

Thanks!!

I don't have time to search now, but there is a whole long thread in the WAHM area.

There is a Childcare Providers Tribe in WAHM that has great info.
