PicklinQueen - Yay for being so good about the gd!! And WOW
for baby getting ready - that's so exciting!
Mel - what a neat experience. I once went into my dh's family management class for grade 12 students to talk about pg and birth and it felt good to give them some new ways to think about it all.
We were lucky 'cause my aunt sent us her co-sleeper when I was pg with ds1. We use it for the first 7/8mos or so then opened one side of a crib and used that since it's bigger. But, really, the baby usually just ends up right next to me. There is a bit of a gap between the crib and our mattress when we set it up, otherwise we'd just use that from the get-go. I'm not sure if that's the case with all of them. we could probably safely fill that gap (once we start using the crib, I just tightly roll a blanket and tuck it into the gap, but that doesn't sit well with me for a newborn).
Kate - woohoo! Full term! (gl getting taxes done)
afm... I finally got ahold of the m/w yesterday evening. She decided that I should go to the hospital to get checked out just in case (they've apparently had a slew of early births, so she was in the mood to be extra safe). so, I went and got monitored and checked for amniotic fluid. All was normal. She did say that I have "copious" amounts of discharge
and that my bh's are quite strong according to the monitor, but since there's not action with my cervix I've got nothing to worry about. That's a relief because while we have everything more or less ready for the baby, we are still far from finding a name, lol.
Oh, and that reminds me. Dh is super enthusiastic about the middle name Hayes now (you might remember he wasn't keen on letting me use one of my family names) because he saw that it means "close to the forest." Ds2's name is Forrest
