getting over a 'sex' writer's block...

Ok, I did it! I wrote about sex in a VERY public way

I have it in my book, but I have such a bad history myself in that arena, that I wanted to see how it felt to have people - outside of me, myself, and I - know that I think about and actually like....it....

it's not graphic by any stretch of the imagination, but I had to 'spread my wings' so to speak...I am an adult, right!?!? and married...with 2 kids...I just had a self-made wall to get over...phew! It's been a long time coming... (no pun intended!)

I'm trying to be brave and write it into my book- but it just sounds so lame!!! I can't imagine anyone reading those parts!!!

But so many writing books and magazine say to include it...I've GOT to try.

That was excellent, Mommyhawk! Very tasteful- that sort of sex writing is useful, inspiring- nothing wrong at all, IMO.

ha ha, I wrote a little one day and it's still in my 1st draft, but I'm not sure I'm THAT brave to keep it...my MOTHER will read it!!! But then again...if I get paid for it I think I can get over her embarrassment, and maybe she'll get over it too...hmmm...something to think about

Actually, I have a pen name that DH gave me so that if I ever wrote an erotica I would use it so no one I know would ever know it was me ...

But in a Woman's Fiction, I'm not sure how 'far' is too far, KWIM? If that's the genre I'm even writing in anymore...I'm a lost writer some days...
