Trying to find some books on diapering

Thread Starter
Good Afternoon all,

I am writing a paper for my English class about being a wise consumer. So I decided to use diapers as the product I'm going to write about. I already have Diaper Free by Ingrid Bauer for elimination communication, but I don't have any books on cloth diapering. Any suggestions out there for books on cloth diapering or possibly some online articles? I am asking for books because my Professor doesn't want all my sources to be from the internet, but some sources from the internet wouldn't hurt.

Thank you all so much for your time,
Jonathan

I'm sure Mothering Magazine has had a few articles on cloth diapering--those would be a magazine source, even if you found it on the Internet (since they were published in the actual magazine).

I know there are a few pages on CDing in The Baby Book (Dr. Sears), but I don't know of any books that are actually all about CDing.

HTH!

Diaper changes : the complete diapering book and resource guide / Theresa Rodriguez Farrisi.

Most green/natural parenting books will have a chapter on diapering as well.

Hi Jonathon,

Welcome and congrats on picking such a cutting edge subject. In the last 10 years you will find that cloth diapers have taken a huge slice of the commercial diaper pie. And with good reason.

I honestly don't think you will find much in the way of in print information as the cloth vs. disposable debate has been long and tiring since I diapered my daughter 19 years ago.

I would suggest doing google link searches under topics like:

Cloth vs. Disposables

Benefits to using cloth

Asthma Links to Cloth Diapers

Male Infertility Links to Cloth Diapers

Mothering.Com is of course a strong source of information but you will have to navigate to find as it is a large board. Hopefully there will be some who help point the way.

Also try www.diaperhyena.com This is an informational board that has been around a fairly long time in the cloth diapering community.

www.diaperjungle.com

www.diaperpin.com

All are collective resources to help better understand the positive effects of choosing cloth.

Cloth diapering is still not as strong in some parts of the states as others and the web seems to continue to be the strongest souce of information in my opinion.

Best of Luck to you. I hope you will come back and post a link to your paper and its findings.
